Robert Perske initiated the movement to seek a posthumous pardon for Joe Arridy – who was wrongfully executed by the State of Colorado in 1939. Following Perke’s lead, a group of people became the Friends of Joe Arridy to help Bob Perske with his crusade for justice for Joe Arridy. The effort paid off with the 2011 pardon issued by outgoing Colorado Governor Bill RItter.
